The Inn offers three floors of guest rooms each with a distinct personality and thoughtfully decorated by the owners — from upstairs rooms with private balconies and mountain vistas, to romantic ground floor rooms with flagstone floors and low pressed-tin ceilings.

The innkeepers have anticipated your every need. Even after that hearty breakfast, you can enjoy snacks and drinks all day. There’s a microwave and a refrigerator for your use; wireless internet; a well-stocked game room; and maps and local books to help you plan your stay.

The "Birding" Room — Wrens and Warblers is an upstairs room with a canopied queen bed and large bath. French doors open to a private balcony with a view to the north, across a mountain pasture with the peaks of the Smokies in the distance. Additionally, a Celeste fireplace enhances the room with the charm and ambiance of a gently flickering fire. The room is decorated with a variety of bird prints, bird houses and books, inspired by the great variety of birds that visit the Folkestone Inn during the year. Over 40 different birds were identified over one Spring weekend! Private bath with old-fashioned clawfoot tub with shower. Hair dryer and herbal soap, shampoo, and bubble bath. Central air conditioning, with independent controls. No TV. Comfy robes, a CD player, and a copy of “Day Hikes of the Smokies” to enjoy while you are staying with us. So that all guests can experience the rest and relaxation they came for, we do not have televisions at the Inn.

The room is decorated with old photos, license plates, maps, and postcards, inspired by the scenic highways that wind through western North Carolina and the Great Smoky Mountains.

The "Wildflower" Room — Stems and Petals is tucked away in a hidden nook on the main floor, just off the parlor. It has a queen bed and the room opens onto a large, private covered porch on the south side of the Inn. The room is decorated with flowered wallpaper and wildflower prints, inspired by the many wildflowers that bloom in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park throughout the year.

The "Hiking" Room — Falls and Creeks is a large room with a king bed on the main floor just off the library. It features a large seating area with a private deck under the shade of a maple tree. Additionally, a Celeste fireplace enhances the room with the charm and ambiance of a gently flickering fire. In the bath, an antique sideboard has been converted into a marble-top vanity. The room is decorated with artwork, prints, and photos of waterfalls and creeks of the Smoky Mountains and other beautiful scenery.

The room is decorated with cycling paraphernalia and theme prints inspired by the nationally acclaimed Tsali bike trails just a few miles west of Bryson City.
